Mr. Mom
Good Day All,
Tonny always plays a role in the house, sharing duties with Faith. The kids too. Especially the older boys and girls—cleaning, cooking, and mentoring the younger children. This past three weeks, Tonny’s role changed to Mr. Mom. Up early to cook and care for the kids, then rush to the hospital to check on Faith and their newborn son, Jeremiah. Jeremiah suffered with breathing problems, which is not unusual. He required supplemental oxygen for over a week. Faith, too, ailed and struggled to recover from the C-section.
I worried about Tonny. His texts even sounded tired.
We’re thankful God provided for Faith and Jeremiah. Ugandan hospitals don’t kick you out when you can’t pay, they keep you. Like debtor’s prison—can’t leave until you pay and can’t pay because you’re in prison. Quite upside-down I’d say.
Jeremiah and Faith are home now and doing well. We thank to Lord for that, and we thank you for your prayers and contributions.
Still much to do. Our goals are no different, finish the house (it’s close), build unattached kitchen and bathroom, tile the floors in all three and get them moved in, drill a well. God willing, this year.
It’s bold. God will make a way.
Blessings,
David Arp,
Director MtM
