Update on MtM’s House and Kids!
Good Day All,
I want to provide an update on the orphanage. The roof is complete, the structure is dried in as I call it, and the plastering outside is nearly complete. We bought three interior doors. The frames are fitted and the plastering of walls inside is ongoing, which includes the floor. Tonny told me yesterday that after the kitchen and bathroom are finished, they will tile the floors in all three.
I’m not completely familiar with Ugandan building habits. Unlike where I live, guidance codes and compliance inspectors are nonexistent. Having said that, Tonny has a contractor overseeing the work, whom he calls “the engineer.” He is an engineer I’m sure, forced to hold that degree to get a license and maintain credibility. The electrical installations are finished, and that work was done by a professional.
As an aside—notice the ladder in the picture.
We step on with the projects, one foot in front of the other as the Lord provides.
The kids have been well. No hospital visits, thank you Lord.
Thank you for your support and prayers. We are nothing without you.
Blessings,
David Arp,
Director MtM
